Hi, I’m Jamilah.

I’m a writer, affirmation artist, and founder of Awoke and Inspired—a creative wellness brand rooted in the healing power of words, intention, and simplicity.

Caregiving Comrades is my caregiving-centered branch of Awoke and Inspired—created to bring calm, dignity, and emotional support to caregivers, families, and loved ones navigating life’s harder seasons.

My journey into holistic self-care began as a pre-teen, exploring natural ways to manage my own health challenges. Years later, when I became a caregiver for my mother, who lives with dementia, I searched for ways to bring her comfort and calm during moments of confusion and anxiety.

Through that season, I discovered that everything is energy—and when we learn to gently guide it through words, mindset, and presence, we can create more peace and connection.

The affirmation products in this shop grew out of that love and necessity. What started as a way to soothe my mom evolved into a mission to help other caregivers and families find simple, heart-centered tools that nourish the mind and spirit.

Whether it’s a calming personalized monologue, a soothing affirmation track, or an empowering message you can share with a loved one, my hope is to bring more clarity, comfort, and gentle encouragement into your world.
